I began singing professionally at age 11, and learned the guitar around the same time, and so began my love affair with songwriting. Continual passion for the craft led to signing an international record deal with Columbia Records, Sony Music (USA) in 2002 and getting to release my debut (after 3 years in the making) 'Departure'. To date, I have worked with a slew of producers, writers, musicians and DJ's all over the world including Ken Nelson (Coldplay), Chris Townend (Silverchair, Massive Attack), Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson), John Holbrook (Natalie Merchant) and Paul Oakenfold to name a few. I have a number one hit song to my credit with the dance track ‘Southern Sun’, and was invited to sing on UK’s now debunnked ‘Top of the Pops’, which I do so without miming and barefoot, getting to share the line up.with Robert Plant (big time Led Zep fan), Beyonce and Sophie Ellis Bexter. My track ‘Wanderlust’ off the Departure album appeared in Michael Stipe’s (REM) directorial debut ‘Saved’ as well as other random US tv sitcoms of the time. It's impossible to mention the amount of artists I've had the privelage to share the stage with, but a few stand outs would be Leonard Cohen, The Pretenders, Damien Rice, The Jayhawks, Howie Day, Iota, Cog and the Jeff Buckley tributes in London & Ireland, hosted by Jeff's mother Mary Guibert and playing alongside Ed Harcourt and Jamie Cullum. I developed my own label 'OfOne Music' in 2005, and have been releasing my records independently since, with the album 'Pure Things in Wild Places' (2007) and more recently, 'My Lover's Ghost' (2010) - a six-song ep released Jan 11 recorded in a closet. I am mostly identified as being a folk/rock artist, but there are many genre's I have frequented throughout the years and this versatility as a singer and writer, allows me to use a broad brush stroke when I create music, giving me the freedom to express in a greater capacity, what I'm feeling at the time, whether its a club beat, 12 bar blues or dub that wraps itself around the song, doesn't matter to me, as long as its true. The past few years I have been actively collaborating in the electronica/club arena, with internationally acclaimed recognition. Since the success of 'Southern Sun' in 2003, I’ve worked with Loverush UK (‘Give Me Your Love’ #11 on Club Charts for 2010), Roger Shah (‘One Love’ from his 2011 release, ‘Open Minded’ released on Armada) and Davidson Ospina (2010 remix ‘Give Me Your Love’) who I am teaming up with for a full length club release. I am also writing a roots EP for my side project, ‘Northern Souls’ (web page coming soon) for release in NZ in 2012. I have called Los Angeles home on and off for 10 years, and this is where I am currently based, with infrequent appearances with my band as three piece when I feel like rockin it, or out acoustically at venues such as Spaceland and Hotel Café. See ‘Live’ page for updates. My music is available online everywhere and in select stores in Australia through MGM Distribution. DISCOGRAPHY
